On friday i went to the laser cutting place to get my idea and material tested. The two ways i was thinking about creating bricks was by engraving a bricck pattern or cutting out rectangles and apllying them to anouther surface. The engraving didnt turn out that well. Its not that easy to see since the material contains black in it. However the seperate rectanges stuck to paper mache turned out quite well. It will be harder, more fidley and take long to make my model using this way but it should be woth it i hope. This material is quick, easy and cheap to laser cut but it smells really bad and the man there said it creates alot of black smoke, which isnt good,due to some adhesive or something in the material.
